Vasiliki Efstathiou
Vasiliki Efstathiou is a scientific associate at the Information Management Systems Institute (IMSI/ATHENA R.I.C.) and the Cognitive Systems Research Institute (CSRI). Her research interests lie in the area of knowledge representation and reasoning with special focus on computational argumentation systems, automated theorem proving and reasoning under uncertainty, while her Ph.D. thesis titled “Algorithms for Computational Argumentation in Artificial Intelligence” investigated automated reasoning techniques for implementing computational argumentation based on classical logic. Before joining IMSI she has worked as a postdoctoral research fellow with the Information Technologies Institute (ITI) of the Centre for Research and Technology Hellas (CERTH) and as a research associate with the Intelligent Systems group of University College London Computer Science department. Vasiliki holds a PhD in Computer Science from University College London, an MSc in Computer Science from the same University and a BSc in Mathematics from the University of Crete.
