Iordanis Koutsopoulos is an Associate Professor at the Department of Informatics of Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB). He obtained the Diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), Greece, in 1997, and the M.S and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park (UMCP) in 1999 and 2002 respectively. He has been Assistant Professor at the Department of Informatics of Athens University of Economics and Business (2013-2016). He has also been Assistant Professor (2010-2013), Lecturer (2005-2010) and Adjunct Lecturer (2003-2005) with the Department of Computer Engineering and Communications, University of Thessaly. Ιn Fall 2012 he was a Visiting Scientist with Yahoo! Labs, Barcelona. During the summer of 2005 he was visiting scientist with University of Washington, USA. His research interests are in mobile computing, applications of machine learning, and recommender systems.
