Georgios Chatzigeorgakidis obtained his diploma from the department of Electronics and Computer Engineering at the Technical University of Crete and his MSc degree from the department of Computer Science and Engineering at the Technical University of Denmark (D.T.U.). In 2020, he obtained his PhD from the Department of Informatics and Telecommunications at the University of Peloponnese, in the area of scalable indexing and exploration of big time series data. He is currently a post-doctoral fellow at the Information Management Systems Institute of Athena Research Center. His research interests lie in the wider area of data discovery and analytics, in particular for time series, geospatial and textual data. He has worked in several European projects (Horizon Europe, H2020, FP7) in these topics.
