Dimitris Nikitopoulos was born in Athens, Greece on June 7, 1978. He received the degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), Greece, in 2002 and the MBA degree in Technoeconomic Systems in 2007. He is specialized in mobile telecommunications and computer networks and he received his PhD degree in School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Division of Telecommunications at National Technical University of Athens in 2010. He was a Research Associate with the Telecommunication Laboratory, the Computer Networks Laboratory and the Mobile Radiocommunications Laboratory of Institute of Communication and Computer Systems (ICCS-NTUA) and with the GRNET. Currently, he is working as Research Associate with ATHENA Research Center. Dr Nikitopoulos has a large number of publications in journals, conference proceedings and book chapters and serves as a reviewer/member of the technical committee in international journals and conferences. He has been mainly involved in several National and European Research Projects like “CAUTION”, “CAUTION++”, “DAIDALOS”, “MOTIVE”, “EASYPARK++”, “mobiPARK”, “CONFES”. He speaks English and French and he is a member of the Technical Chamber of Greece.
