Paris Koloveas is a Data Science Researcher specializing in Natural Language Processing (NLP), data mining, and their applications. He holds a BSc in Informatics and Telecommunications from the University of Peloponnese and an MSc in Data Science from the University of Peloponnese and NCSR Demokritos.
As a PhD candidate in Scientometrics, his research focuses on Citation Intent Classification, analyzing the purpose of citations in scientific publications to uncover their significance and impact. His previous work explored the intersection of NLP and Cyber-Security, where he developed text mining and knowledge extraction methods to advance Cyber-Threat Intelligence discovery.
He is an advocate for Open Science, promoting transparency and accessibility in academia. He is also deeply engaged in examining the ethical and societal implications of AI and technological innovation, striving to contribute to their responsible development.
