Petra Eleni [F, eleni.petra@athenarc.gr] holds a Diploma in Computer Engineering and Informatics, Technical University of Patras, Greece, and a Master of Science in Computation, University of Manchester, Institute of Science and Technology (U.M.I.S.T.) Her technical specialty is in Information Systems, Data Base Management Systems, Cloud Computing, Software repositories, e-infrastructures and data infrastructures. Over the past 35 years she is working as a Scientific Researcher and Project Manager for a number of Research Centers, companies, government agencies, and the European Economic Union (IST, Esprit programme, FP6, FP7, Horizon 2020 and Europe programs). She has served as Project Manager and Technical Coordinator for the technical and managerial consulting of 6.800 ICT projects in the framework of the Sectoral Operational Programme “Information Society” of the National Strategic Reference Framework (NSRF) as Deloitte senior manager. Before that period, she was served as Project Manager and Technical Coordinator for consulting for over 65 industrial areas development projects of PIRAEUS BANK and ETVA (Hellenic Bank for Industrial Development), as Project Manager and Technical Coordinator for the MIS in the Greek Ministries of Public Works (Access points and Road Accesses) and Industry (EPV). While working at ICS - FORTH (Foundation of Research and Technology) she was Project or Team Leader in ESPRIT Projects (Intelligent Workstation – IWS, ITHACA, etc.) and Associate Manager of the Hellenic Esprit Special Action in Multimedia and CIM. Currently, she is working for the National Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA) and ATHENA RC as Project Manager in Horizon2020 projects, specifically as Project Manager of the HORIZON2020 NEANIAS project for deploying Underwater, Space and Atmospheric services to EOSC, as Scientific Coordinator of the HORIZON 2020 PSLifeStyle Project, Project Manager in FRESQO project for freshness monitoring using machine learning and in previous years as key personnel in Cloud Infrastructure projects for fisheries, marine and acquaculture domains (iMarine, BlueBRIDGE,), as well as, cutting - edge research infrastructures for medicine (MD-PAEDIGREE, Human Brain Project) and Greek Infrastructure Projects for research (KRIPIS) and culture (Apollonis). She is actively involved in the EIT Climate – KIC Hub Greece and SDSN Greece strategic movements and activities and her latest endeavor is leading the new Unit at ATHENA RC for “Women in Innovation”.
