The paper "Tarbase 6.0: Capturing the Exponential Growth of miRNA Targets with Experimental Support" by Thanassis Vergoulis et al has been chosen by the Editors of Nucleic Acids Research (NAR) to appear on the journal's December 2011 Featured Articles page. Featured Articles represent the top 5% of NAR papers in terms of originality, significance and scientific excellence.

TarBase is a manually curated database of experimentally validated microRNA targets. Its recently released version 6.0 curates more than 65,000 targets derived from gene-specific or high-throughput techniques, exhibiting a 50-fold increase from the previous version. A large set of powerful tools and a newly redesigned user-friendly interface enable integration of this extensive dataset to every-day miRNA-related research.
